Basic grey flower card

The challenge on crafty creations challenge blog this week is to create something with flowers, patterned paper and a ribbon. I have lots of flower stamps but wanted to try using the stamp in a slightly different way.
Also I wanted to try making a paper rosette. They are slightly tricky to get the dimensions correct without using the Tim holtz die, but I think this has worked well.
I used a 1x12 inch strip of paper and scored the concertina folds every 1/4 inch. Glue the two end securely, then push flat to the desk to create rosette shape. Glue and hold well a disc of paper to the back as a base to hold the shape. I then filled the centre with glue and finished with a button to decorate.
The paper is the wisteria collection from Basic Grey.

  1. Hi Claire, I really like this card as the pink flowers you have used remind me of cherry blossoms, which I absolutely love! Especially this time of year.
