Lace and Ribbons

This theme this week at Stamp n Doodle was LACE & FLOWERS (Any lace and flowers - can be die cuts, punches, actual lace and flowers, etc )

Card recipe
Digital image from Stamp n Doodle, Puppy Love
White card base 6x8 inch
Background paper, handmade flowers & smal flower border sticker - Basic Grey, Capella collection
Lace - lovely surprise gift from Mum
Tim Holtz stick pin with K & Co. heart tag
Die cut flowers cut with Cricut cartridge, Mothers Day Bouquet

With the boys on half term last week, we went out to the cinema, and naturally looked in a few shops. I saw a card that was incredibly simple, but very effective, so I used that as my inspiration in starting this card and a means to do something  bit different with the lace.
The lacey panel is an ATC (artist trading card) wrapped in 4 lengths of ribbons, and then used as the backdrop for the ever so cute digital image from STAMP n DOODLE. The image of the little girl was printed twice, in brown to keep the softness of the image in keeping with the rest of the colour palette (shown below).

One of the images was coloured with promarkers, cut out and decoupaged onto the other image.
I made the flowers using one of my favourite Basic Grey paper collections, Capella. I used the Cricut cartridge Mothers Day Bouquet to cut the flower layers.

This is the card for this weeks challenge over and the STAMP n DOODLE challenge blog.

Commissioned wedding card

Haha, I have found a way to post on my phone. Forgive me if there are any mistakes, when the Internet decides it is going to work properly for me I will come back and make the corrections and alter to the picture to a better size. But at least I can get something done.
I have been asked to make a wedding card, where anything goes and the colour scheme is coral.

Anyway I used the imagine to print and cut all the papers and flowers. My biggest project yet with it. I used my new Elise patterned cartridge, elegant edges for the central layers and mothers day bouquet half cartridge for the flowers. I used the philosophy of my aunt Rita, to help me create this card  - 'more is definatly more'. Using this rule Rita can produce stunning creations.

The wording gave me grief, I thought I had a wedding word stamp but I don't ( well couldn't find it anyway). I had no congratulations peel-offs either. So resorting to cricut design studio I had to find the right style font, so I could cut at a reasonable size and not too small.
I think it works? Thanks for looking.
